Biorhythm

References

This bibliography, dated 14 April 1980, is taken from course materials that I distributed in my Biorhythm classes, both in Spain and in the United States -- all of the references are contained in my personal research library, now largely stored in unmarked boxes after several moves since that time.

It contains diverse subject matter in the fields of plant and animal biology, chronobiology, physical chemistry and biochemistry, solar astronomy and astrophysics, bioheliology (a term first used in my Ph.D. dissertation in 1974), bioselenology, meteorology, psychology, criminology, and statistics, among others -- it presents a wide vision of seemingly interrelated phenomena affecting life on Earth, the causal mechanisms for which are not yet understood, in most cases.

Much more has obviously been published over the ensuing three decades, but the foundations were already laid -- only the details may have been changed, the concepts altered somewhat, or different analytical scientific approaches employed, which reached the same basic general conclusions --

the fact remains that cycles or rhythms exist on many levels in our environment and influence, to a greater or lesser degree in each individual, innumerable facits of our daily lives -- knowing about them may help us understand ourselves to a fuller degree, and using this knowledge can lead to adapting our lives to these constantly changing factors, thus leading to a much richer and more positive life.
